Project Description
Play, Discover, Simplify
Play is very important for every artist. Once a week I set aside a ‘play time’ at my studio, just exploring and discovering new techniques, trying different tools to produce fun textures and colors. This exercise allows the intuitive part of my brain to let go of judgement in my work.

This mixed media painting I have entitled ” Birthday Party.” Actually my husband loved it and gave the title. I hope you enjoy this short video. I created this piece in less than an hour. Totally from the heart!
Birthday Party
Mixed Media, 16″ x 20″
This is one of those moments where a simple piece of wrapping paper sparked an interesting idea. With gesso, acrylic paints, cut out words and wrapping paper, I let go of my head and created this piece.
